Kenneth Hari, of New York, believes in the tradition of portraiture to preserve and record people who have contributed to Mankind, whether it be in the world of Science, Entertainment, Art, Business, etc. The notable poet W. H. Auden wrote of Kenneth Hari:
"Your portraits should serve as a unification of Man, not as decorative ornaments. Continue your portrait work, it is excellent." It is in this vein, so aptly stated by W. H. Auden, that Kenneth Hari continues his craft as a master portraitist. Among the many collections which represent Kenneth Hari's work are: the Vatican, Rome, Italy; the Museum of Modern Art, Barcelona, Spain; the National Gallery, Sophia, Bulgaria; the National Portrait Gallery, London, England; as well as numerous business institutions, university and private collections. Kenneth Hari has achieved artistic recognition for his ability to capture the essence of character of his portrait subjects. It is a task he undertakes with consummate ability.
Kenneth Hari's newest creation is a series of crystal acrylic sculptures, a medium he helped pioneer. One sculpture is "Beatrice", adopted from the legend of poet Dante's doomed love. There are two others in this series, "Prophet" and "Moses".
According to poet Paul Roche, Hari is "Americas Best Kept Secret." |
